MARCHING BANDThe East Hall High School Viking Marching Band has a vibrant tradition of excellence in musical and visual performance. The 160 member ensemble is a hallmark of the Friday Night Experience for the East Hall community performing at all home and away football games including several parades throughout the year. The group participates in 3-4 marching competitions each year consistently earning superior ratings and class championships. In 2019, the Viking Marching Band earned the Gene Shadburn Award for scoring highest in overall points at the Lake Lanier Tournament of Bands. Check out the links below for more information!

Concert BandsThe foundation of the music education experience at East Hall is established in the concert band courses. These bands rehearse all year during the school day, as well as during co-curricular after school rehearsals. In this setting, music principles and fundamentals are taught, practiced and developed. It is for this reason that participation in all other aspects of the band program is contingent upon the curricular study of music in one of the concert bands.
All band students at East Hall will enroll in one of the courses listed below. Each course is designed to cater to the individual needs of each student and therefore the courses are ability-based. Auditions for placement in these ensembles are held the preceding spring of each school year:
